This role within the Asset Management department will focus on the financial analysis, reporting and management of a commercial real estate portfolio. The Asset Manager plays a direct role in the operations, management, value creation and strategic direction of real estate assets under management.

Employee will exercise independent judgment in day-to-day responsibilities with limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze property performance for a commercial real estate portfolio
  • Establish strategic goals for the portfolio and manage strategy decisions to maximize value and financial performance of the portfolio
  • Perform detailed financial analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages
  • Review budgets, forecasts, and other ongoing financial projections
  • Create and update Profit and Loss (P&L) reports, performance vs. budget reports, cash flow schedules
  • Provide monthly investment summary to investors and respond to their comments and requests as needed.
  • Manage capital expenditures
  • Work with third party property management team on the portfolio
  • Assist in property acquisition and management transition process and ensure required capital projects are completed in accordance with the lender requirements.
  • Assist with the refinance of existing properties.
  • Research and analysis as needed
  • Develop and maintain network of industry relationships
  • Work with team members to complete loan draws for capital expense items, and review and approve capital expense projects
  • Communication and reporting out to investors
  • Perform periodic visits of assigned properties to identify opportunities and potential capital needs.
  • Additional duties as may be assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related field
  • 2-5 years experience in commercial real estate Asset Management preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Teams

  • Computer literate – capable of performing tasks such as: create spreadsheets; compose correspondence; manage databases; and create presentations, reports, and documents using desktop software and digital graphics
  • Exhibit discretion and good judgment
  • Ability to work independently
